The terms that apply when you use ClassFlipbooks.
By accessing and using ClassFlipbooks (the “Services”), you agree to these terms. ClassFlipbooks is a product of Education by Shala Books Inc. (“ESB”), based in British Columbia, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. ESB may suspend or terminate accounts that are used in a manner that violates these terms or applicable laws.
You own the books you create on ClassFlipbooks. You retain all rights to the text you write, the images you upload, and the audio you record. ESB does not claim ownership of teacher-created content.
You grant ESB a limited licence to host, store, display, and process your content for the purpose of operating the Services — including showing your books to the students in classes where you have assigned them, and generating audio narration or AI illustrations when you request them.
ClassFlipbooks uses AI services (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Cloud) to generate text, images, and audio when you choose those features. You can edit, replace, or reject any AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before sharing books with students.
AI-generated outputs do not reliably reproduce other people’s copyrighted work and we do not intend for them to, but as with all AI tools, you should use judgment when sharing AI-generated content.
If you use ClassFlipbooks to set up classes and share books with students, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate consents to handle their personal information. See our Privacy Policy, including the section “Detailed Consent to the Use of Student Information,” for the full statement.
You agree not to use ClassFlipbooks to:
We aim to keep ClassFlipbooks available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes when we can.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESB disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESB’s total liability arising from or related to your use of the Services is limited to the amount you have paid to ESB for the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim (or one hundred Canadian dollars if you have not paid for the Services).
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by e-mail to the address associated with your account or by a prominent notice on the Services.
